Situated on the shores of the Colorado River below Laughlin in Nevada's southern tip. The park offers dramatic views of the river and surrounding mountains. Popular activities are picnicking, boating, fishing and swimming. Located five miles south of Laughlin on the Needles Highway. The park is within the town limits of Laughlin, one mile south of Casino Drive on South Needles Hwy.

Few man-made sights are more breathtaking than massive Hoover Dam. Soaring more than 70 stories (726 feet) from the bottom of Black Canyon, about 75 miles north of Laughlin, it is the highest dam in the United States. Lake Mead, the country's largest man-made lake, provides 550 miles of varied and unsurpassed outdoor activities throughout the Lake Mead National Recreation area. The Hoover Dam Tour Center is open every day of the year except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Tour Center open from 9am - 6pm.

Once a thriving mining community, Oatman, Arizona, takes visitors back to the days of the Old West with weekend cowboy gunfights and showdowns in the middle of town. Wild burros roam the streets of this popular setting for many movies and TV Westerns. Shop at the stores for antiques, handmade items. Restaurants such as Route 66 Deli, Olive Oatman Restaurant are just a few of the wonderful places to eat. Oatman's most famous visitors were Clark Gable and Carol Lombard who stayed there briefly during their well-publicized "elopement" in the 1930s.

Chloride is a old mining town that was founded in 1873 at the beginning of the silver boom. Most of the mining was for Silver but Gold was also foundAt one time, Chloride bosted over 20 Saloons and Brothels. Choride also is the home to the Longest continued operating US Post Office in the United States.After the silver and gold ran out, so did most of the residents.

Today, Chloride's main wealth is it's rich history which brings tourists from all over the world. Most tourists have heard of the Chloride Murals painted by Roy Purcell in the 60's. Miners Day always brings a huge crowd on the last Saturday in June each year, which includes a parade, lots of vendors and live entertainment from the local Gunfighters. Saint Patricks Day is always celebrated with a parade, cornbeef and cabbage served up at Yesterday's Resteruant and shootouts by our local gunfighter groups, The "Immortal Gunfighters" and the "Wild Roses" which is the only all womens gunfighter group in the world.
